NOTES: The lethal injection “three-drug protocol” is defined as: (1) Sodium thiopental or pentobarbital (2) pancuronium bromide/Pavulon (or tubocurarine chloride or succinylcholine chloride) and (3) Potassium Chloride. Text within the state fact sheet specifies when sodium thiopental has been or will be replaced by pentobarbital.
